We are looking for someone who would be able to foster our office cat, Wally for 3 months. We are facing difficulties with a non-cat friendly office administrator who will be leaving the country by the end of the year. At the end of three months, Wally will be able to resume his residence in our office garden.
Wally needs to go to a home with no other cats, as he is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency virus). The virus can spread to other cats but not to humans. Feline HIV is a condition for which there is no known cure at the moment. It is spread (no, not through unprotected sex with multiple partners) chiefly through bites, which many stray cats sustain in fights.
Wally is otherwise a lovely boy; healthy and beautiful and quite
low-maintenance. His picture is attached.
If you can find a place in your heart for Wally, please contact me and let us know if you'll be able to foster him for three months.

You have an office cat???? Wow! You mean, the cat walks around in the office while you guys work?? That is so cool !
I have 4 cats at home, so I guess fostering Wally is out of the question for me. He does look very handsome. Hope you found a good foster home for him soon. |

Well, not really so exciting as all that. We simply happen to have a large garden, and cats come by and visit. We had adopted three, but this over-zealous admin person had threatened to dump our cats if we didn't get rid of them first. Two have been adopted, and Wally is left. But we love him to much to let him go and we have negotiated for his return, once the admin guy leaves. Finger's crossed.
We really hope there's someone out there able to help us out for a while. |

Would your dear admin object if u kept the cats in a cage for the next few months?
There is a saying in my family, "Got cats no rats".
Some say that these animals bring luck. Wil help u ask around. Kind of hard to find animal lovers that dont have pets. Maybe if i bribe my brother (stonge dog lover) he may help. |

Wally has a temporary carer! A very kind woman, who knows him from when she used to work in our office. He gets to be an indoor cat for a few months, which is great news for him. Best of all, Wally knows and likes her.
Many thanks to everyone who tried to help. |

Good to hear that!
He might even feel too pampered to leave the house later. Hehehe... |
