hi...there....
My min pin had an unexpected pregnant with my silky :( and had gave brith to 3 puppies.i know it is my false...i`m not suppose to let my dog pregnant so early but is an unexpected pregnant.
Anyway i still very happy to welcome all my grandchildren (new born puppies) and i also feel glad that the min pin became a very caring mother.She love her pups so much....she is a wonderful mother for them.By the way this is the frist time i take care of newborn puppies ,hope can get some information to teach me the correct way for taking care of them such as..
when should i bring them to vet for medical check -up or vaccina?
what vitamin or mineral should i give to the mother and the pups?
when can i give bath to the mother and pups? |

Congrats on being a young granma.
When your pups are just born, you should check them for any genetic or birth defects. If you don't know how to do that, you could ask your vet to have a look.
Bathing your young pups is not a good idea. Their mother will clean them up anyway. |

| I just want to add here for the benefit of everyone. "Accidental" pregnancies do occur, even if you are careful with your dogs or cats. And these accidental pregnancies are the major cause for animals being dumped at places like the SPCA. Anyone working for animal shelters have seen far too many animals being killed/euthanised/neglected because of these "accidents". To prevent them, please spay/neuter your pets as soon as possible! |
