I have a Question to ask the doctors..

Is it possible to have a Siam in the litter? I mean, my cat gave birth to 5 kittens (they are 1 month and 10 dys old already). I noticed one of them is a Siamese. Is it possible for a domestic cat, to give birth of other breed? Correct me if im wrong pls, Siamese breed has Blue eyes, white fur, black or grey spot on tip of their ears and tail....

Has anyone encountered this scenario before? I'm new here, so really need answer bout this. :D

Ahhh, colour genetics...

Yes, it's possible to have a Siamese lookalike in a domestic cat litter. Both parents probably carry the Colourpoint gene. It all depends on the color of the parents.

Considering that the siamese/burmese/tonkinese breed originates from this sid eof the world, creating a Siamese lookalike is not impossible...

And, a Siamese - at least, traditional siamese, have round faces, pointed (which means that the ears, nose, tail and feet are of a different colour which should be a creamy white), a sharply defined wedge to the muzzle and wide "bat" like ears.

For more information on Siamese, go here :

Yeap. I've seen a few "siamese" kittens from normal looking cats. Basically, they just have the colour of the siamese, but not the true shape of the siamese. Thats why when breeding mixed-breed cats, its like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get.

Hi Tihie
welcome welcome welcome

Fhinz, the cat's museum is still there. For the rest of u who never heard of the place, here's a brief intro about the Cat's Museum.

The Cat Museum, the only one of its kind in the world was opened on August 1, 1988. It is dedicated to the preservation, presentation and promotion of the historical heritage of the cat.

The 1,036 square meter area of the new Cat Museum on the ground floor of the Kuching North City Hall as opened in 1993.

Gallery A presents the cat in the Malay, Chinese and Japanese communities. It also displays five species of wild cats unique to Sarawak and Borneo. All the wild cats are carnivorous and prefer to live in dense tropical rain forest and hunt at night.

Gallery B exhibits cats in ancient Egypt, Oriental and Medieval Art. T.S.Eliot's Old Possums' Book of Practical Cats is given special attention. Cats at play, in fight, and asleep appear in pictures and/or in stuffed form.

Sorry E, menyibuk under ur post. kuangkuangkuang.

the last time I visited the cat museum was when I was a little girl. The visit was so great, I really liked the museum. Lots of cats, great for Kuching to have a museum like that one. In Miri, we have a museum about oil as Miri is famous about oil. (hahaha, promote Miri!)
I wonder why cats are associate with burglars, like cat-burglar. Even in the museum, I saw a female-thief patung with a cat! well, maybe cats are natural thives, hehehe...
