Hello all. I'm Cece the proud owner of Foxy Princess. This morning, Foxy gave birth to 5 kittens. Unfortunately 1 died. The reasons I joined this forum are:

* to share my passion, thoughts, and experience with cats with other catlovers in Malaysia
* to seek for advice on any matters regarding cats

Hello CeCeZuRaIzA , welcome to this forum.
I'm Tiara from Kuala Lumpur. A slave to Hugo, my only indoor cat. Extreemly fussy and demand lots of attention.
I'm sorry the other didn't made it. It would be nice if you could post pictures of Foxy Princess and her new born babies. Kittens are super cute and they makes my heart melt.
By the way Foxy Princess name is so sexy. Have you named all your babies?

yups, Foxy Princess really sounds sexy, reminds me of Beyonce's character in one of Austin Power's movies.

wow, Tiara, if u r a slave to Hugo, that means u sort or relived the Egypt world, heheeh... I think Hugo must be very happy to have u as his owner (or is it his slave, :P)

Hi all... thanks for the warmth welcome. sad to say that one of Foxy's baby died this morning. now she has only three kittens left. i really hope the rest will survive.

and tiara, i'm the slave of foxy's too. well i think we'd do anything for our loved ones don't we. when i got back from work yesterday, i had to clean the cage (i dont normally cage her but i think her babies would need their mommy to be around to nurse them). i was quite suprised as Foxy was really calm. from what i heard, mother cat would be over protective and won't let anyone near her babies. is it because she knows me?

sure i'll post some photos of Foxy and her babies. i'll try to post Foxy's first ya. i'm so glad i could share my joy with all of u.. :)

Hi Cece,

I think Foxy knows you, that is why she is so calm. Pepper lets me and all my friends handle her baby anyway we want. She trusts human and knows that we will do her baby no harm.

Any idea why the babies didnt make it? One of Pepper's baby didnt make it either. It was because that he didnt know how to suckle the mother's milk. We do not know why though.

You planning to keep all the babies? You know, you really grow attached to them, like how I grew attached to Pepper's baby, Little Sesame. :D

Look forward to your pictures!

The blood coming from its mouth/nose only meant that it died for some time already. Have you checked all your other babies to see if they have any birth defect? For example, one major defect is what we call a cleft palate. It is pretty common, and it makes the babies unable to suck milk and die of hunger. The chances of surviving is pretty low and will need to be hand-fed.

thanks dr nat. babies look fine. didn't see any birth defect on them. the babies were suckling "joyfully" yesterday.

well here's the case. correct me if i'm wrong. Foxy mated with "a stranger cat" (i don't know whether it was a stray cat or someone else's). could it be the 'bad' gene passed on from the cat? again sorry to say because i really look after Foxy.

would it be a good idea if a choose a mating partner for Foxy?
