In the olden days, pig farmers usually castrate their boars themselves. Maybe you can give it a try...just play doctor....
I believe it is easier to castrate a male sugar glider coz the "grapes" hang by a thread like skin membrane. It already looks fragile so maybe you can just give it a little nudge and it might just fall out...
Just kidding...the vets here will kill me for putting this bullshit up here.....
P.S.: Kids don't try this at home....
THIS IS WRITTEN BY MY HUSBAND WHO KEEPS SUGAR GLIDERS...

Neutering sugar gliders have been successful in Kuala Lumpur.
To date, 3 male gliders have been neutered and are doing very well.
Why neuter? Well, it controls breeding for sure, secondly it reduces the male's musky smell, the male's urge to scent mark and also the male's ball spot to disappear or reduce completely. |
