My mother cat always have mix-breed kitten, I think the father is siamese coz I'm not quite sure the breed of the father. So, there will be kittens that looks like siamese kittens and kittens that only inherited their father's size (that means the kittens will grown up to much bigger size cat than the local cats). The thing is the siamese-look kittens usually easily sick and died. My question is how do I take care of this type of kittens? For your info, we keep our cats outside the house.

Have you brought the mother and father for a check up with the vet? They could have a congenital disease that could be passed to the kittens or they could also be carriers of disease that could affect the kittens. Also, you should bring all the kittens to the vet, especially when it becomes weak or sick. Its impossible for us to tell how or why the kittens died, without having to look at it. So, if we don't know why it died or gets sick, how are we to give you advice on keeping those kittens?

Another thing, have you thought of getting the mother and father cat neutered?

The problem is we not quite sure which one is the father coz there are 2 siamese male cats (neighbour's cats). We always bring the cats to vet whenever the cats get sick. Do you think the siamese kittens should have special injection or something else to boost their immune system? Before this siamese-mix batch, our cats usually healthy and we don't send them to vet for injection. Actually, we still not quite sure which vet we should see for the injection because we are afraid that wrong injections will cause something much more terrible happen to our cats.

My advice to you is to find a vet that you are most comfortable with. I have written an article on how to choose a vet here: http://vet.com.my/viewtopic.php?t=101

Usually siamese-mix kittens do not have any problems. Wether a "special" injection would help or not, it all depends on what is the CAUSE of them becoming so weak in the first place. To know why, a vet has to look at your kittens and their parents.

so, siamese-mix or not, I can give them the same care, right? hmm, maybe I should monitor them more closely as they sometimes have extra snack like small biawak. I wonder where do they get supplies like that.

Oh, and thanks for the link to your article. Since I'm quite new here, I don't know there's an article on choosing vets here. Thanks so much, doc, :)
